Aircraft veered off the runway at Sihanouk International Airport
Cambodia Airports regrets to inform that on March 12, 2025, an ATR 72-600 operated by KOH Airlines, flight number KOH111, ran off the runway upon landing.
During the landing approach on runway 21, crosswinds gusting at 33 knots caused the aircraft to veer off onto runway 03 after touchdown. The aircraft subsequently skidded and came to a stop at the Runway End Safety Area (RESA) of runway 21, with wheel fires reported. All passengers are believed to have evacuated safely, except for two passengers who were severely injured and temporarily trapped in the aircraft. Authorities are currently verifying details of the passenger manifest.The airport, together with the government, have provided all necessary assistance for the search and rescue of the aircraft.
Flights and operations are not affected (no reports of delays or cancellations).
Further update will be provided as soon as reliable information is available and Cambodia Airports is authorized to release.
